Refuge Ridge Environmental Education

Educational Programs

Environmental Education

One of the most effective ways we can help the planet is by changing our own actions. At Refuge Ridge, our environmental education programs teach visitors about predator conservation, green living, and the importance of maintaining wild spaces.

Green Living Tips

Choosing reusable items whenever possible can have a significant impact on our environmental footprint. Reusable water bottles, travel mugs, shopping bags, and even straws drastically reduce daily waste — and they're simple enough that anyone can make the switch.

Every day we use 500 million disposable straws. These items have become invisible in our daily routines despite their prevalence. A simple reusable straw is one small step that makes a real difference.

Predator Education

Our wolf and wolfdog residents help people learn to see predators as a vital part of our ecosystem and understand the importance of maintaining wild spaces. Through visits and programs, we dispel the myth of the "big bad wolf" and teach the critical role predators play in healthy ecosystems.

Programs for Schools & Groups

We offer educational experiences for school groups, community organizations, and families. Programs can be tailored to different age groups and interests. Contact us to arrange a visit or to discuss bringing a program to your school.
